Surrey Summer Aquathlon Series 2013

As part of the main Aquathlon Race 2 on the 28th June we are running a junior / youth section 10-16yrs. Entry is £10. The Junior / Youth race will consist of a 200m swim and a 2k run. Please note - a parent must be in attendance at the event.

Distance: 500m swim, 5km run
Price: £18 per race (£22 on the day) or £45 for all three - £3 refund on race day on production of valid BTF card

Course Details: Surrey Summer Aquathlons are a series of 3 races consisting of a 500 metre swim followed by a 5 km run which we organise in the summer months. Competitors start at the 50 metre Guildford Lido situated in oasis-like surroundings before completing the run in the adjacent Stoke Park.
Prizes: Prizes will be announced closer to the time but typically for each race winner in male and female categories, overall series winner in male and femal categories, and fastest overall time.
Results: These will NOT be given out on the night but will be published on the Tri 247 website as soon as possible after the event.

As always, we will be running this event on Friday evenings. We will have use of the whole pool and will arrange the swim as a zig-zag race using 5 lanes. Competitors will be started at continuous 30 second intervals and will complete a down and up leg of each of 5 lanes, ducking under the lane rope on completion of each 100m. The run is 'relatively' flat out and back course around and within Stoke Park.
